Tony has proven to be a strong management professional with an authentic approach for revitalizing under-performing companies and transforming them into industry market leaders. In 2008, he joined Diligent Delivery Systems as Chief Operating Officer. The company was at $28.8m in top line revenue at the time and 90 percent of the revenue relied upon delivering wholesale automotive parts. In 2008, despite the need for a government bail out of the big 3 automakers and Diligent’s top line revenue decreasing by $7mm from 2008 to 2009, gross profit margins increased by 6%. Tony challenged and incentivized his team to review every purchase, every process and devised a marketing strategy to streamline the business to be stronger than ever before. In 2017, the company’s revenue exceeded $227mm with an EBIDTA of $17mm and the business was thriving through 2020 when Tony embarked onto his next business venture. In late 2020, a longtime friend introduced Tony to the Urban Shipper Technology team. Tony was intrigued by the merger and acquisition strategy put into action by the executive team. In addition, Urban Shipper Technology was developing a mobile platform that could integrate with multiple courier platforms. On August 1, 2021, Tony accepted the role of President at Urban Shipper Technology.
Tony is a savvy leader with an indelible reputation for delivering inventive business strategies and client-focused solutions that improve profitably, productivity and service. In 2001, he partnered with AWI, one of the largest chemical warehouses in the United States as President/CEO. Commandeering an 825,000 square foot facility on fifty-seven acres was the perfect opportunity for Tony to challenge his experience in the supply chain industry. In 2003, he led the implementation of a real time inventory management system that customers could access via the web, place their orders, view their inventory, and check their order status online. As a result, AWI soon became one of the premier warehousing and transportation providers in the country.
Tony started his supply chain and logistics career with Goodyear Chemicals in 1994. He progressively worked his way up through the organization while being promoted four times in just seven years. His biggest challenge at Goodyear Chemicals came in 1999. Corporate headquarters asked Tony to fix a failing project that was over a year behind schedule. It involved SAP, a new wireless network throughout multiple production facilities, onsite warehouses, and offsite warehouses in Texas. Within 3 months, Tony and his team had the new system up and running.
Tony began his formal education in 1982 at Wichita State University on an athletic scholarship in baseball.
